The United States has lifted its requirement that international travellers test negative for COVID-19 within a day before boarding a flight to the United States from 12 June 2022.

Arrivals no longer have to show a negative COVID-19 test result or proof of recovery to enter the country.

Despite ending the testing requirement, the ban on unvaccinated travellers will remain in place.

Travellers 18 and older who are not US citizens, US nationals, legal permanent residents or immigrants must be fully vaccinated to travel to the US, with limited exceptions.
