EU Update: Updated List Of Countries Allowed To Enter Europe
European Union updated list of countries who can enter the bloc
EU officials are still debating who will be allowed to enter Europe on July 1 when the EU’s international borders are scheduled to be opened and who will be refused from entry.
The list has already courted controversy after it was revealed that the United States is on the forbidden list and China may be welcomed to Europe on the 1st of July
It has been widely reported that Brazil, the US and Russia are not on the approved list.

The most recent draft list was agreed by EU states on Friday and contains 15 countries. A drop from the 54 countries initially reported.
The full list of countries whose nationals will be allowed to enter Europe according to the draft list is as follows:
– Algeria
– Australia
– Canada
– Georgia
– Japan
– Montenegro
– Morocco
– New Zealand
– Rwanda
– Serbia
– South Korea
– Thailand
– Tunisia
– Uruguay
– China *subject to confirmation of reciprocity
The EU is asking the ECDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control – the EU agency for disease prevention, to come up with a more detailed list, adding that the lists will be reviewed every two weeks.
When EU guidelines were released, officials said the list would take into account the infection rate in the countries concerned.
The criteria are based on epidemiological data Previously, the list had 54 countries on it. That has dwindled to just 15.
Travellers from the UK are being treated as EU citizens during the Brexit transition period until the end of the year, they enjoy unrestricted travel and are exempt from the travel ban says the EU.
The UK too plans to keep Americans at bay with a 14 days quarantine on arrival.
