Finland Opens Borders to 12 European Countries and Issues New Travel Advice
Finland’s Travel Advice.
Finland to Allow Entry for Nationals of 12 European Countries
Finland has decided to permit entry for the citizens of 12 European countries starting July 13 asserting that these countries currently have the Coronavirus situation under control in their territory.
The decision was announced by Finland’s Interior Minister Maria Ohisalo
from July 13 citizens from the following countries will be eligible to enter 12 countries.

The countries are:
Austria,
Croatia,
Cyprus
Germany,
Greece,
Hungary
Ireland,
Italy,
Liechtenstein
Slovakia,
Slovenia,
Switzerland
Restrictions will be lifted for the countries with fewer than eight new infections per 100,000 people over the preceding 14 days.
Finland no longer advises its nationals against non-essential travel to
Norway,
Iceland,
Denmark,
Estonia,
Lithuania or
Latvia
The list of countries allowed into Finland, and advise to Finnish nationals will be updated on a fortnightly basis.
In a press release, the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the situation no longer requires for the citizens of Finland to avoid travelling to these countries
Not on the list are
Belgium,
France, and
Spain
Although by July 10 the Finnish authorities will assess whether other EU countries can be added to the list
However, a recommendation for Finnish citizens to avoid non-essential travel to other countries remains in place.
Finland’s borders have been reopened since May 14, for international workers from the Schengen zone countries which was closed since March due to Coronavirus outbreak.
Finland’s government has relaxed some of its preventive measures, that were imposed to stop the further spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
